While running up 91 on a beautiful, New England blue-sky day in the summer of ‘15, Jackson Browne’s song, “Running on Empty” was blasting from the car stereo. At that moment, creator, bandleader, manager Jonathan “Rock Doc” Schneider knew he had to assemble a group of talented singers and musicians to re-create the music from that special time and place: the early ‘70’s in Laurel Canyon. The songs of Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell and the Eagles come to life with the extremely talented ensemble that always leaves the audience on their feet dancing, and wanting more. The stellar ensemble “Running On Empty” features studio and concert tour veterans who have worked with major recording acts. With one female and four male vocalists, “Running on Empty” can re-create the exquisite vocal harmonies that were unique to the Laurel Canyon sound. Everything you hear is played live. The “Running On Empty” band features session vocalist and premier band performer Sheila Fabrizio; 13-time Emmy winner Andy “A.J.” Gundell (Helium Brothers); Howard Jeffrey (extensive work with REO Speedwagon, Harry Chapin, Dan Fogelberg); keyboardist songwriter Rob Mack (for other artists and television shows); guitarist Shawn Persinger (composer and performer on five continents, in 36 countries and countless cities); studio/live/session drummer Greg Trabandt (Tommy Lee, Jeff Canatta, Arc Angel); and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jordan West (Bon Jovi, Ted Nugent, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd).
